It’s hard to believe that this master bath remodel started just a few short weeks ago. What was brainstormed one dimensional on a tattered piece of paper is now evolving into a 3D vision. Most days it seems as though the journey from moth to butterfly has been long and arduous, but when I turn my mind’s eye and look at the path, I realize that it has been short and only a little stormy.

Can you believe the difference removing the window has made? The shower turned closet on the left is much more functional in the space while adding to the form. The bathtub turned shower on the right will be a large, luxurious oasis. Can’t wait for the first shower in there! For more about our starting point, check out the first post in this series.

Here’s a glimpse of the new cabinets. I sourced them from Shutler Cabinets, Inc., the same place where I bought the kitchen cabinets. The color is pearl with a pewter glaze. You can get a  better view of the closet here too.

It won’t be much longer before this bathroom update is complete!

This photo is taken from what used to be a sitting room in the master bedroom. The bedroom area is to the right and the bathroom is straight ahead. The area through the first set of doors is another closet, of which the sitting room will become an extension .
